Book your flights
There are different ways to fly to Windhoek. Air Namibia and Air Berlin are the only two airlines that currently offer direct flights from Europe. South African Airways, Air Namibia and British Airways offer daily flights to Windhoek from Johannesburg or Cape Town in South-Africa. To arrive in Windhoek with minimal one stopover you can book your flight with one of the other airlines such as KLM, Lufthansa, Iberia or Swiss Airlines.
Air Namibia is the national airline of Namibia and is a safe and reliable company offering (night) flights from Frankfurt to Windhoek on daily basis. Air Namibia offers free railway tickets (Deutsche Bahn) within the borders of Germany.

Air Berlin offers direct flights to Windhoek from Düsseldorf in Germany (also possible from Hannover, Cologne, Hamburg, Münster and Berlin) with a stop-over in München. Air Berlin is offering less frequent flights to Windhoek from Europe. During the European winter months only one flight a week is scheduled and during the summer this is increased to twice a week. Air Berlin often offers promotional and discounted prices for these flights. The flight takes approximately 11 hours.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is flying to Amsterdam via Johannesburg to Windhoek. As this is a day flight, it is necessary to sleep over in Johannesburg, because at the moment of arrival in South-Africa there are no connecting flights to Windhoek any more.
