Desde 1990 Namibia es completamente independiente y actualmente el partido social SWAPO lidera el gobierno.
El presidente es la cabeza del gobierno democrático y se están dando elecciones periódicamente.
El país está dividido en 13 regiones políticas separadas. La libertad de expresión es uno de los pilares más importantes hoy en día. La situación política general de Namibia puede ser descrita como estable.
